DAVEY & SLADE DO WELL IN BALI

Slade (15) won his round of 112 heat in Bali against two Indo, and one Jap surfer.  He then went on to come 2^nd in his round 96 heat beating aus surfers Robbie France and Ales Rix.  Unfortunately Slade got out in the round of 64, but placed 49^th overall which is a good result for his first visit to Bali against some really top surfers.

Davey Van Zyl (16) did exceptionally well and made it right through round 112, then round 96, then round 64 into round 32!  Placing 17^th overall.  This is Davey’s first event internationally and he beat some top seeds on his way eg Dai Wako from Japan and Oscar Scanes from Aus.  Well done Davey!
