NINE TEAMS IN TOTAL : maximum 189 surfers

TEAM SIZES & AGES: 21 surfers, coach, manager & judge

U20: (may not turn 21 in 2010)

4 x U20 boys

2 x U20 girls 

U17: (may not turn 18 in 2010)

4 x U17 boys

2 x U17 girls

U15: (may not turn 16 in 2010)

4 x U15 boys

2 x U15 girls

U13: (may not turn 14 in 2010)

2 x U13 boys

1 x U13 girls

SIX DAYS : NINE HOURS SURFING PER DAY

NOTES

·       Opening Function : Monday September 27 @ 7pm

·       Contest starts @ 8am on September 28 & ends on October 3.

·       Possible mobile venue choices :

      Kommetjie area, Muizenberg,Kalk Bay Reef, Noordhoek, Misty Cliffs & Witsands

·       EIGHT Provincial Teams (one per Province) plus ONE Development Academy Team (made up of members selected from the Development Academy who are not selected for their respective provincial teams.) will participate in the championships.The focus when selecting this team will be on Transformation.

·       There will be Repo rounds after R1 in each division.

·       The ENTRY FEE PER TEAM is R6,000 which is due no later than September 10.

·       The winners of the U17 boys & girls finals will automatically be included in the U18 divisions of the 2011 SA Junior Team that will travel to the ISA World Junior Champs in Peru in April/May..

·       The same applies to the winner of U15 boy’s final.

·       The balance of the finalists in the u17 & u15 Boys & U17 Girls divisions will be included in first squad trial. (If trials are held).

·       All U20 division surfers qualify for 3A PST Points

·       Trophies will be awarded to provincial teams which score top points per division

( eg : U20 Boys & girls combined scores = U20 Division Trophy).

·       The Freedom Trophy goes to Provincial Team with highest combined points score.
