Sunday 20 June is International Surfing Day (ISD) and Zigzag is stoked to be the South African partner for this epic initiative.

Five years ago, our good friends over at Surfing Magazine in the USA had a brainwave: let’s dedicate one day of the year to celebrate surfing and, well, go surfing… The day, 20 June, was documented around the world and quickly became a global phenomenon. Soon people were doing more than catching a few waves and recording it. They were organizing beach cleanups, rallying support for environmental issues, raising awareness around the ocean...and still getting tubed of course.

In conjunction with our presenting sponsors, Billabong and Olympus, we’re going big on ISD 2010 in SA and supporting it through it’s own dedicated website .
