WIN A TRIP TO CALIFORNIA TO WATCH THE HURLEY US OPEN OF SURFING

(Cape Town, South Africa) March 24, 2010 – Win the ultimate trip to California to watch the iconic Hurley US Open of Surfing, the world’s biggest beach event. Featuring the planet’s top surfers, BMX riders and skateboarders, this eight-day event attracts over 500 000 people to the golden sands of Surf City, USA - Huntington Beach - during the first week of August annually.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary last year by awarding the winner of the event a massive US $100 000 (approx. One of the highlights will be a visit to 225 on Forrest, the flagship Hurley concept store in Laguna Beach, where the winner can create customised Hurley, Nike 6.0 and Converse products to bring home.

The ‘Win a Trip to California’ to watch the Hurley US Open of Surfing competition runs from  April 10 to June 15 and all it takes to scoop this once in a lifetime prize is a healthy dose of imagination, some creative thinking and a heap of networking and digital promotion.

Enter by going to the Hurley.co.za website, create your profile including an image showing Hurley, blog about the picture in 150 words or less and then get your friends to visit your profile. The picture can display any form of Hurley product, the blog is a chance to express yourself and then your networking skills come into play.

The 10 profiles that receive the highest number of hits by June 15 will qualify for the final selection process, and Voila, you could be winging your way to California on 1 August!

The competition is open to all South African residents who have a valid passport (from any country) and who qualify to visit the USA.
