Greetings! We are back up and running and 2010 Surfing Year has begun!

Well done to Sarah Baum for placing 3rd and Beyrick de Vries for placing 4th in the ISA World Champs! SA came 4th overall – the best result we have had since 2003! And we got 3rd in the tag event as well.
Just a reminder that the DEVELOPMENT trials are starting NEXT WEEKEND Sunday 14 Feb. Who can enter?
· If you have not been to development champs before OR if you are u8 or u10 and have been before, but not made finals you may go one more time. (max twice) The idea is to introduce new surfers.
· U16, u14, u12, u10 and u8 surfers boys and girls (born in 1994 or later)
· If you have not represented the A Team of a province previously.
The ‘Reef Grommet Games’ (Development champs) take place over Easter in Port Elizabeth each year and are a FANTASTIC way to introduce new surfers to the competitive arena. Parents and surfers that have represented KZN in the past have all raved the event. There is also paddling and flag races. It is a lovely family weekend away!
There will be THREE trials of which the results of two will count. The winner of each division will definitely be chosen for the team, and we will be selecting the balance of the team according to transformation criteria.
So far I have had entries from: Justin R, Melissa VN, Lenieka B, Luc DLM, Stevan R. So there is still lots of opportunity for other surfers to enter. Certificates will be awarded according to the final results of the trials after trial 3.
